About

Hi!

If you’re reading this I guess that means that the great and mysterious algorithms of the interwebs had this site pop up on your search. I’m so happy you’re here.

They say that these “About Me’s” should explain why you should stick around. To be honest, I don’t really have a great or convincing answer to that. But…I do have a story. I originally set out to create a blog to write about all of the mediocre dates I had been on and was going on. It was to be called “50 Worst Dates.” However, life had other plans. Five dates in to this great plan, I met an amazing man…and well the rest is history.

I knew however, that I still wanted to write and create so I put my thinking cap back on and reimagined what my blog could be about. It’s easiest to write about things you know. I love everything from hiking to cooking and baking to reading to creating fun little DIY’s and gardening to law school. (Okay, maybe I don’t love law school but it’s still fun to write about.)

Now, I don’t claim to be an expert at any of these things so if expert advice is what you’re looking for this might not be the best place. My endeavors are usually a little messy but are accompanied with laughs and love. That being said, I will do my best to give advice and help based off of my own knowledge. (Usually acquired through trial and error.)

I do hope you decide to stick around.

A little about me…

I was born and raised in western Montana. I grew up with the Lolo National Forest surrounding me. I spent most of my youth in the saddle exploring every inch of the mountains surrounding me.

I attended the University of Montana to study Psychology and Creative Writing. When I graduated in 2019 I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I love to write (and that dream is still a work in progress) but I figured I should buckle down and try to figure which road to go down. I began working at a small criminal defense firm in Missoula. I was lucky enough to go to a trial with them. It was there in the courtroom that I felt alive and I new that I wanted to be the one in a suit. This was in October and by January 2020 I took my LSAT and in March I was accepted to attend the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana. Life has a funny way of leading you to where you need to be.

Currently, I am a chronically exhausted 1L with big dreams. I’m a dog mom to a very stubborn hound dog and a loving little rescue kitty. I love to bake and cook. Reading is one of my full time hobbies. I dabble in DIY’s and fixer uppers. I’m learning to garden. I’m living every day and try not to put my expectations on the future.

I invite you to join this journey with me.
